We are delighted to present the Cypherpunks Collection I, a series of 12 unique original paintings by the renowned portrait artist Oskar Stocker. 

The Collection I contains 12 Images of 6 Cypherpunks, 2 images of Adam Back, Nick Szabo, Julian Assange, Zooko Wilcox, Hal Finney and Jude Milhon aka St. Jude. All paintings are Mixed Media on Fabriano, measuring 100 x 70 cm. Each of the Original Paintings is signed & titled by Oskar Stocker on the frontside. Two of them are co-signed by Adam Back, two are co-signed by Stella Assange.

The Austrian artist Oskar Stocker lives and works in Graz. He has become known internationally through the Human Rights exhibition Facing Nations, which consists of portraits of 124 people of various nationalities living in his home town Graz; it was shown in Graz, Vienna, and at the UN Headquarters in New York City. 

As one of the leading portrait artists he has crafted outstanding portraits of artists, celebrities, statesmen & entrepreneurs. His exhibitions are shown in many European countries & in the Near East.

In Oct. 2023 we honoured the Cypherpunks, 30 years after the publication of “A Cypherpunk’s Manifesto” with a live Tribute event & an exceptional Art Exhibition in Lugano, Switzerland.

Based on the Artworks shown in the exhibition, Oskar Stocker crafted 36 additional Original Portrait Paintings. They are released in three collections of 12 artworks each. The portraits of Collection Zero are given as a personal gift to the 12 portrayed protagonists. Out of them 4 were already handed over to Adam Back, Phil Zimmermann, Nick Szabo & Stella Assange (for her husband Julian) at the tribute event in Lugano.

The remaining 24 Original Paintings, created for Art Collectors like you are presented in the Collections I and II in February, March & April 2024.

Each of the 12 portraits of the Collection I is a unique original artwork. Oskar Stocker created them in mixed media technique on Fabriano. Each artwork measures 100x70 cm unframed. They are titled with the initials of the respective Cypherpunk and numbered 1 and 2, e.g. Adam Back, AB1. All artworks are signed by the artist. In addition Adam Back and Stella Assange (on behalf of her husband Julian) co-signed their portraits on the front. 

Together with each Artwork the Collector receives a Digital Certificiate of Origin, inscribed in the Bitcoin Blockchain. The private key to the Certificate is stored on a physical Card Wallet. The technical implementation is done by our partner coinfintiy. The Digital Certificate proves the Origin, Authentication of the Artwork & the ownership of the Collector.
